Control Switch Panels
The Angel of Water® Surround has a tower switch panel with LIGHTS,
UV, CYCLE, and FLOW switches and
a remote switch panel with a FLOW switch and an INDICATOR LIGHT.
The FLOW switches on both panels must be in the ON position for the function
to operate. If one function
switch is turned OFF, then that function will not work.
The switches are described below:
LIGHTS - (tower control panel only) - Turns on all lights for the inside
and outside viewing tube areas and
tower cabinet to illuminate tank water level and make it visible through
the viewing window. This switch also
activates all other switches. When this switch is ON, all other switch
functions will work. When this switch is
OFF, none of the other functions will work.
UV - activates ultraviolet light in UV Filter. This should only be turned
ON just prior to water flowing to
the person on the System. Turn OFF when session stops for more than a
couple of minutes or when session
is finished. Turn ON again as session resumes. The UV light should NOT
be left on continuously.
CYCLE - activates the water cycling device to move water from main tank
to recirculating tank. This keeps
water temperature evenly mixed throughout the use of the entire contents
of the water tank and maintains
an even and constant stream of gravity-fed water to the patient. The water
cycling device should only be ON
when water is flowing through it. When water in large main tank runs out,
turn CYCLE switch OFF until tank
is filled with more water. Then resume session with CYCLE switch ON to
maintain even and constant stream
of gravity-fed water.
FLOW - activates Solenoid Valve that allows water flow from tank into
the patient. A small round indicator
light next to the FLOW switch on the remote control panel lights up and
is visible when water is flowing to
patient.
The Temperature Controller and Display with Sensor is described below:
The Temperature Display on the Angel of Water® CM-1 Surround shows
the water temperature and is located
on the front of the tower cabinet, visible to both the patient and healthcare
practitioner.
The temperature controller with sensor senses water temperature and automatically
closes Solenoid Valve during
Regular Mode of Operation should the temperature of the water exceed 103
degrees Fahrenheit (39.8 C.).
Should the Solenoid Valve shut off due to water temperature exceeding
the acceptable range (99 – 103 degrees
F. and approximately 37-39 degrees C.), the healthcare practitioner should
simply add cool water to the
main tank by turning the Mixing Valve on the basin console (within reach
on right topside of basin) to a cooler
setting and then adding water to the tank by opening Valve #1. Water may
have to be let out first by opening
Valve #2 to accommodate more water. Once the temperature returns to the
safe range (102 degrees F. or less)
(38.8 C.), the Solenoid Valve will automatically reactivate, allowing
the FLOW function to deliver properly- tempered
water to the patient.
